How Guardhouse works

Guardhouse rebuilds your website so you have nothing to patch or update. Then you ask for changes by text or email. Here is how it goes, from start to finish.
1. Check your site
You enter your website address. We look at the public pages, the same way a visitor would. In a minute or so you get a plain-English report. It tells you what your site runs on, what looks out of date, and whether we can move it. You can read exactly what the check looks at.
If we can move your site, the report also shows a fixed price. If your site needs a closer look first, the price is marked as an estimate. We confirm it after a person reviews your site.
2. Get a free preview
If you like what you see, you ask for a preview. A real person at Guardhouse builds a copy of your site on our hosting. It looks like your current site. It is faster on phones and has nothing to patch.
We aim to send your preview within 3 business days. We send you a private link by email or text.
3. Review and approve
Open the preview. Click around. If something is off, tell us and we fix it. Nothing goes live without your OK.
When you are happy, choose Approve and go live. You pick a plan and pay the one-time rebuild fee. Your yearly plan does not start until your site is live.
4. Go live
We help you point your domain at the new site. This is usually one or two small changes at the company where you registered your domain. Your email is not touched. Your old site stays up until the switch, so visitors do not see a gap.
Once your site is live, you get an email with your account login and texting instructions.
5. Ask for changes
After launch, you text or email us changes. We make them, send you a preview, and publish when you reply APPROVE.
What a person reviews
A person looks at every preview before you see it. They check that your pages, images, and contact details came across. They check that your forms and embeds work. They also check anything the automatic check flagged.
A person also reads each change request you send. We do not publish anything without your approval.
